FitEdit is a product of EnduraByte LLC and is developed by Doug Slater.
FitEdit started in 2019 as a hobby project for fixing FIT files.
In 2023, Doug founded EnduraByte to support the needs of athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
In 2024, EnduraByte released the FitEdit source code as libre software. In accordance with the GNU GPLv3, EnduraByte remains the copyright holder and grants you a license to “run, copy, distribute, study, change, and improve” FitEdit.
